1. All registration forms for spring, 2012 Confirmation MUST be returned to Deacon Claude BY FEBRUARY 25. This includes sponsor’s name.
2. Anyone needing an alternative date to May 9 needs to check the box on the lower right portion of the registration form. We will let you know your alternative date, as soon as we are informed by the Diocese. It is likely that not all candidates will be able to be accommodated at one single alternative celebration.
3. Everyone registering for spring, 2012 Confirmation needs to forward their responses to “AS I LOOK TOWARD CONFIRMATION” BY MARCH to Deacon Claude. These responses can be sent electronically (clester@dor.org) or by mail (95 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424). Portions of these responses will be excerpted as part of the visual display in church and in bulletin articles. So, legibility counts. Be proud of yourself. You may use a computer (and don’t forget to use the spell-check).

-before April 22 session, read introduction and chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Send Out Your Spirit be prepared to discuss at April 22 session
-before April 29 session, read chapters 4, 5 and 6 of Send Out Your Spirit and be prepared to discuss at April 29 session
-before May 6 session, read chapters 7 – 10 of Send Out Your Spirit and be prepared to discuss at May 6 session
-before each session, candidate and sponsor should work through the questions printed throughout each chapter

RITE OF SENDING
Before we go to the Cathedral, our local faith community prays for us and sends us to theBishop. We will be celebrating this Rite at 6:00 pm Mass in St. Mary’s on Sunday, May 6. Candidates and their sponsors will be called forward after the homily.
A sign-up schedule will be available at the second formation session to indicate which Mass you will be attending that day.
The text for the Rite of Sending will be distributed at the second formation session.
CELEBRATION OF SACRAMENT
-Wednesday, May 9 at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Rochester with St. Katherine Drexel community (of Palmyra, Macedon, Marion)
-roles of participation -- Lector, Gift bearer, Greeter
DE-BRIEFING CONVERSATIONS
-after celebration of Confirmation, each candidate will have a ten minute conversation with Deacon Claude. Context of the conversation will be on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, the content of Send Out Your Spirit, the experience of Confirmation at the Cathedral, the discernment of how to have greater involvement in the Church.
-conversations will take place Monday – Thursday, May 14 – 17 after school
-the conversations will take place in the PAC (Parish Administration Center) Parents and/or sponsors may also attend if they wish.
-sign-up will be before and after formation sessions 2 and 3
