Your Sunday Reader Your Sunday Reader is a joint podcast of St. Mary Parish and Working to Beat Hell. It contains the readings for
the upcoming Sunday followed by a brief discussion. A great way to prepare for weekend Mass!
GRADE LEVEL SESSIONS for students in grades pre-K through grade 8 are held on Sunday mornings (10-11
AM), Mondays (3:30-4:30 PM) and Wednesdays (3:30-4:30 PM) and for grades 9 – 12 (on Sunday mornings from 10 –11
AM) in St. Mary’s School building. These sessions are taught by volunteers. Each section is limited to ten
students. The main focus of these sessions is to cover the major points of a grade level curriculum as outlined in a textbook;
these books will be kept at school until the end of the year and then sent home.
Much of the success of this program is dependent on recruiting and training enough volunteers for the number of children who might
like to participate. In this mailing we have outlined the number of grade level sections we can open at this point, based on the
number of volunteers who have come forward. We will be happy to offer additional sections on any of the days as additional adults
come forward. All adults who participate in our programs have completed the diocesan “Safe Environment” procedures;
new volunteers must complete the process before beginning their service.
We do not put students on “waiting” lists, nor do we exceed the ten students per section policy. The number of
sections of each grade is dependent on the number of catechists who volunteer.
