Parish Life

The role of Parish Life here at St. Mary’s Church is to connect and foster fellowship in the parish community within parish ministries and beyond our liturgies.
Our events provide an opportunity for us to share our lives, thoughts, concerns and help us live and practice our Christian beliefs and principals.  Getting to know one another helps us to reach out and spread the word of how rewarding our life in Christ is.
Parishioners who would like to get involved in Parish Life activities or bring new ideas to foster parish fellowship can contact Valerie Haynes @585-394-4590 or e-mail me at Vhaynes@dor.org.

Upcoming events

St. Bridget / St. Mary  Parish Life

Prayer Shawl Ministry meet every Tuesday 10 am - 12 Noon, the first Tuesday of the month is at St. Bridget's Parish Hall in Bloomfield. The rest of the month is at St. Mary's 40 Gibson Street ( Yellow House). This is a wonderful ministry that is growing all the time. If you like to knit or crochet please feel free to join us any time.  We make these wonderful shawls and then distribute them to the Nursing homes, Sands Cancer Center, or to our friends or relatives who are sick. They are able to wrap themselves in our prayers that we have said for them. Fr. Mull blesses each one before we distribute them.  Come see what we are about. Please check the bulletin for location, we meet here at St. mary's and also at St. Bridget's in Bloomfield.

Saturday, January 26th we will be getting together in Dougherty Hall and scrapbooking and crafting.  Bring those holiday photos and we will be happy to get you started.  It's not hard at all, and you get to brag and share those wonderful memories.  If you are a crafter, bring whatever craft you are working on.  It's fun to get together and work like this with friends. And, you get to make a lot of new friends!
